Why does the number 108 keep coming up?
For starters, Spiritomb is formed by the collection of 108 spirits. In the handheld games, it has a Base Defense, and Special Defense of 108. In the Sinnoh Nation Pokédex it is number 108.
Do I need to finish this Special Research before the end of the event?
No, you can continue on at your own pace as long as you’ve obtained the Special Research.
When can I catch Spiritomb?
You encounter Spiritomb after completing the task, ‘Catch 108 Pokémon’. You don’t receive it in the final rewards like other Special Research tasks.
Can Sableye or Yamask be shiny?
Yes, presumably. I don’t mark them on the graphic because I believe it causes confusion for some people and sometimes things change.
