Pokémon GO Fest 2023: New York City

Pokémon GO Fest 2023 is coming to New York City, and we’re planning a big event for the Big Apple! GO Fest 2023: New York City is split into different experiences between two locations: Randall’s Island Park and throughout New York City!

Attendees will enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers and spend half their day in Randall’s Island Park and half exploring the larger New York City area!

Tickets purchased include both the Randall’s Island Park AND New York City experience—the only difference is the time of day Trainers are at each location.

Special early bird ticket pricing is available NOW until June 15, 2023. These discounted tickets are limited, so snag them early to take advantage of this cheaper ticket price!

Trainers will select a date and a time slot for their Park Experience. The City experience will take place from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm ET.

Citywide Gameplay - $20

Extend the GO Fest fun and enjoy the city experience throughout New York City on the extra day—or days—of your choice! This add-on provides an additional day of the same citywide gameplay experience that is available on your primary event day; however, it does not include additional Special or Timed Research.

This add-on only enables additional citywide gameplay. The Randall’s Island Park event experience will only be available on your primary event day at the time indicated on your ticket.

T-shirt Pre-order - $27

Pre-order your in-person event-exclusive Pokémon GO Fest 2023 T-shirt now, and pick it up in-person during the event. Each T-shirt purchased will also come with a code that can be redeemed for a matching in-app avatar item.

T-shirt quantities are limited and pre-orders will only be available while supplies last. No returns, exchanges, or cancellations will be allowed. The same T-shirt design (in a different color) will be available for sale (while supplies last) on Niantic Supply in select countries.

A Mega-Evolved surprise from the heavens!

It’s time for sky-high adventure! Mega Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon, will descend from the ozone layer and appear in raids throughout New York City during this event.

While all Trainers will be able to challenge Mega Rayquaza in Raid Battles, only those with an active Pokémon GO Fest 2023: New York City ticket will be able to receive Mega Energy.

Dragon Ascent

An item newly-discovered in Pokémon GO, Meteorites, can be found during this event.* They seem to have some connection with Rayquaza and its attack Dragon Ascent—giving Rayquaza a Meteorite allows it to learn the powerful Charged Attack. Rayquaza needs to learn Dragon Ascent before it can Mega Evolve using Rayquaza Mega Energy.

* An active event ticket is required to collect Meteorites and earn Mega Energy for Rayquaza during this event. Trainers without a ticket will not find Meteorites, have the ability to teach Dragon Ascent to Rayquaza, or be able to Mega Evolve Rayquaza until Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global.

Diancie makes its Pokémon GO debut during Pokémon GO Fest!

This year, the Mythical Pokémon Diancie–the Jewel Pokémon– is the crown jewel of the event! After making its Pokémon GO debut during the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 events in London and Osaka, this glimmering Pokémon will make an appearance in New York City!

Follow the story told by your event-exclusive Special Research and adventure throughout the park, and get ready for your own enchanting encounter with Diancie!

Not all that glitters is Diancie—Trainers will also be able to encounter Carbink!

And that’s not all—Mega Diancie makes its Pokémon GO debut!

A double Diancie debut?! That’s right! Diancie’s Mega Evolution—Mega Diancie—will also make its Pokémon GO debut during Pokémon GO Fest 2023, right alongside Diancie! Adventure through the Special Research story during your park session and learn more about the hidden power of this dazzling debut, plus collect Diancie Mega Energy by completing park-exclusive Field Research and Carbink raids!

Ticket-holding Trainers will be able to encounter Mega Diancie first at the in-person GO Fest 2023 events in London, Osaka, and New York City.

Mega Diancie will then make its worldwide debut for ticket-holding Trainers during Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global!

Sigilyph

Sigilyph, the Avianoid Pokemon, will appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2023: New York City! This Pokémon is typically only found around Greece and Egypt!

New York City Shiny Pokémon debuts

Trainers who attend Pokémon GO Fest 2023: New York City will be able to encounter Shiny Golett and Shiny Skrelp for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!

Shiny Unown ! will also make its first appearance in the Americas at the event after debuting during the Pokémon GO Fest events hosted in London and Osaka.

Location Cards

Trainers who participate in Cresselia, Xerneas, Yveltal, or Mega Rayquaza raids during their ticketed event day will have a chance of receiving a special host city–themed Location Card after making a successful catch. These souvenir backgrounds will appear on the Pokémon’s summary page, showing where the Pokémon was caught and commemorating your trip to Pokémon GO Fest!
