Meltan and the Mystery Box

The Mystery Box is the key to catching Meltan. You can get one by sending a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, or to Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch.

From Monday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m. local time, opening the Mystery Box gives you a chance to encounter Shiny Meltan, and you won't have to wait as long before you can open it again.

New Special Background

Trainers who take part in five-star raids and five-star Max Battles during Into the Wild have a chance of receiving a new Special Background after a successful catch. The souvenir background shows on the Pokémon's summary page, marking when it was caught on the road to Pokémon GO Wild Area.

  • The Adventure Effect for Crowned Sword Zacian's Behemoth Blade will be more effective.
  • The Adventure Effect for Crowned Shield Zamazenta's Behemoth Bash will be more effective.
  • Energy collected during Max Battles will fill the meter faster.
