Niantic is testing a new branching Timed Research format during “evergreen weeks,” which are weeks without major events where seasonal gameplay takes focus.

This Timed Research lets you choose your own way to play for the week by selecting one of three branches based on exploration, skill, or battling.

Choose wisely! You can select only one path and remain on that path until the end of the Timed Research.

Each path grants a different event bonus and includes different tasks and rewards.

Explore - 5x XP for spinning PokéStops
Catch - 1.5x XP for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better
Battle - Additional 5,000 XP for completing raids

Once selected, your path cannot be changed.
