Features

Features Available to All Trainers

The following features are available to all Trainers.

A Mega-Evolved surprise from the heavens!

Mega Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon, will make its worldwide Pokémon GO debut in raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global!

Trainers participating in the global event will be able to find Meteorites, a new item in Pokémon GO, via Special Research. These Meteorites seem to have some connection with Mega Rayquaza…

All Trainers will be able to harness the power of Mega Rayquaza during its global debut in raids on Sunday, August 27, 2023, during Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global!

Dragon Ascent

An item newly-discovered in Pokémon GO, Meteorites, can be found during this event.* They seem to have some connection with Rayquaza and its attack Dragon Ascent—giving Rayquaza a Meteorite allows it to learn the powerful Charged Attack. Rayquaza needs to learn Dragon Ascent before it can Mega Evolve using Rayquaza Mega Energy.

Special Pokémon will appear in the wild!

For all Trainers, special Pokémon that appeared in the special Habitats on Saturday will all appear in the wild on Sunday.

Shiny Debuts

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global attendees will be able to encounter Shiny Goomy, Shiny East Sea Shellos, Shiny West Sea Shellos, Shiny Joltik, and Shiny Oranguru for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!
