The biggest Pokémon GO event of the year is almost here, and the adventure is going global! Join up with millions of other Trainers from around the world and get ready for Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global!
Over 70 Pokémon will appear during the event, plus special costumed Pokémon, bonuses, and more.
Trainers can participate in this global event at no cost from anywhere in the world! You can also upgrade your experience with an event ticket, available now via the in-game shop or the Pokémon GO Web Store. Trainers with an event ticket will receive special bonuses and rewards, including an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow!
Trainers who purchase their ticket from the Pokémon GO Web Store will receive an exclusive GO Fest 2024 shirt avatar item color. Like the GO Fest event badge, the shirt will arrive closer to the Pokémon GO Fest event.

A ghostly sighting—Marshadow makes its global entrance in Pokémon GO!
After its appearances in Sendai, Madrid, and New York City, the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow will make its global Pokémon GO debut on the first day of Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global.
Ticket-holding Trainers will be able to complete exclusive Special Research to learn more about the Gloomdweller Pokémon—and have an opportunity to encounter it!
Trainers will only encounter Marshadow once no matter how many Pokémon GO Fest 2024 Special Research stories they acquire and complete. If you obtained a Special Research from an in-person 2024 GO Fest event, you will receive Marshadow Candy as the final reward for the global GO Fest 2024 Special Research instead of another Marshadow.
Global Challenge Arena
During each habitat hour on Saturday, ticket-holding Trainers around the world will be able to work together to complete a challenge! If the challenge is completed in time, the following bonuses will be unlocked for the remainder of the hour for ticketed Trainers!

Grab your friends—new Party Play challenges exclusive to Pokémon GO Fest will be available to ticket-holding Trainers! Work together with friends to earn encounters with Pikachu wearing a Sun Tiara and Pikachu wearing a Moon Tiara!

On Saturday, July 13, Trainers will be able to collect Field Research tasks from PokéStops that change each hour from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time!
Special Backgrounds during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global
On Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, all Trainers will have a chance of receiving Special Backgrounds from Ultra Beasts and Necrozma in five-star raids after making a successful catch!
Photobomb Encounters
Take a snapshot to get photobombed by Sun Crown Pikachu or Moon Crown Pikachu. The photobomb is dependent on the current habitat.
During Dawn Meadow or Shining Day, you’ll get photobombed by Sun Crown Pikachu.
During Creeping Dusk or Darkest Night, you’ll get photobombed by Moon Crown Pikachu.
Ticket holders can get up to 5 photobomb encounters per day.
Trainers without tickets will have 1 photobomb encounter per day.
