GO Wild Area returns in 2026 with Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon, the debuts of Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia, and powerful mighty Pokémon. Collect GO Safari Balls to help catch these challenging encounters!

Location: Sendai, Japan, with gameplay throughout Miyagi Prefecture
Ticket: ¥4,000 (including applicable taxes and fees) for one day

All event gameplay is exclusive to ticket holders. A standard ticket covers one selected day; Extra Day add-ons extend eligible gameplay to additional days. Gameplay is available only within the event area at the date and time specified on your ticket.

Ticket registration: Register from September 11 at 8:00 a.m. JST through September 15, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. JST. Registered Trainers will be notified of their purchase window afterward. Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia

Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia make their Pokémon GO debuts during GO Wild Area 2026. Both can be Shiny!

Both Pokémon will appear in Max Battles during the in-person event.


Machamp Wearing a Modern Jacket

A new costumed Machamp appears in three-star raids during the event. Lucky Trainers may encounter a Shiny one! Ticket holders can also encounter this Machamp as a mighty Pokémon in the wild.


Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra Debut

Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra debut at the in-person GO Wild Area events. Ticket holders may find Hisuian Sliggoo in the wild during either habitat hour, including its Shiny form.

Use 100 Goomy Candy to evolve Hisuian Sliggoo into Hisuian Goodra.

Mighty Latias and Latios

Ticket holders may attract mighty Latias and Latios with Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, on their ticketed event day. Both can be Shiny and are quick to flee, so keep GO Safari Balls ready.


GO Safari Balls

GO Safari Balls improve the chance of catching Pokémon, especially mighty Pokémon. Ticket holders can obtain them by spinning PokéStops and Gym Photo Discs during event hours.

They can only be used from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on event days and become inaccessible after the event ends.


Supply Balloons

Ticket holders receive hourly Supply Balloons with GO Safari Balls during event hours.


GO Snapshot, Routes, and Party Play

Take snapshots for surprise encounters with Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon. Explore Routes for a chance to find mighty Pokémon, and enjoy Party Play sessions lasting eight hours.


In-Person Experiences

Gameplay extends throughout Miyagi Prefecture, with in-person activities centered in Sendai.

Research

Special Research — Ticket Holders

Claim Special Research during your ticketed session to learn about both Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon and earn two themed in-game medals. Special Research is granted only once, even with Extra Day add-ons.

A separate Global ticket grants access to the Global Special Research the following weekend.


GO Stamp Rally

Explore city landmarks and collect stamps at in-game PokéStops to encounter event-themed Pokémon. The Stamp Rally is available from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time on your main ticketed day. Extra Day add-ons do not grant another Stamp Rally.


Steel- and Dragon-Type Timed Research

Two Timed Research experiences guide you through specially decorated PokéStops across the city. Spin the corresponding stops to progress; these can also help you navigate between Stamp Rally locations.

Extra Day add-ons grant both Timed Research experiences again on each added day. Complete the tasks and claim rewards before 8:00 p.m. local time that day.


Field Research

Event-themed Field Research is more likely to appear during the event. Complete tasks for encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Tasks and individual rewards have not yet been announced.

Shiny

Hisuian Sliggoo can be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon at the in-person events. Evolve it to obtain Shiny Hisuian Goodra.

The event T-shirt is available by preorder while supplies last. Pick it up during your ticketed event day. You can add merchandise to an existing order; returns, exchanges, and cancellations are not available.


Buying Tickets for Friends

Tickets can be purchased for eligible friends using their exact Trainer usernames. You must be at least Great Friends. Everyone included in one order receives tickets for the same date and time.
