GO Fest 2026 Special Backgrounds

The two collection backgrounds you can earn during Road of Legends and Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, and every Pokémon that awards one.

Pokémon backgrounds display an image on a Pokémon’s summary page related to the event where the Pokémon was caught. The Pokémon background cycles with the previous Pokémon summary page background. There are two to collect this year.

Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids during GO Fest: Global may have a Special Background. If that Mewtwo with a Special Background is Mega Evolved, its Mega Evolution’s background will have an additional visual effect.

GO Fest 2026 Special Background

GO Fest 2026 Special Background

Pokémon caught from five-star raids, Primal Raids, and Mega Raid Battles between July 6 and July 12 may also have a Special Background.

Road of Legends: During Road of Legends, every Pokémon below appears in 5-Star Raids on Monday, July 6. Zekrom also returns Tuesday, Reshiram Wednesday, and Dialga (Origin) and Palkia (Origin) on Friday. The day and habitat shown under each Pokémon is where it appears in 5-Star Raids during GO Fest weekend.
