Adventure Effects for Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y
Mewtwo will unlock a unique Adventure Effect when it first learns Dynamic Punch+ or Future Sight+. Once an effect has been unlocked, Mewtwo can use it even while it is not Mega Evolved. Activating either effect requires Mega Energy and Mewtwo Candy.
Dynamic Punch+ Adventure Effect
Mega Mewtwo X’s Adventure Effect increases your Pokémon’s damage against Mega-Evolved Pokémon in Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids. During Super Mega Raids, it also allows you to break two shields at once instead of one.
Future Sight+ Adventure Effect
Mega Mewtwo Y’s Adventure Effect reveals encounters with Pokémon that will appraise as three-star or higher. While the effect is active, a high-stat Pokémon will glow when you enter its encounter.

Collecting Mega Energy and Increasing Mega Levels
Trainers can collect the most Mega Energy by defeating Mega-Evolved Pokémon in Mega Raids. You can also occasionally earn Mega Energy by walking with your Buddy Pokémon after you have previously Mega Evolved a Pokémon in that Buddy’s Evolutionary line.
Pokémon with X and Y Mega Evolutions require separate Mega Energy for each form. For example, Charizard Mega Energy X is needed to Mega Evolve Charizard into Mega Charizard X.
After a Pokémon has Mega Evolved for the first time, it may be Mega Evolved again without using Mega Energy. A Pokémon’s Mega Level can be increased in two ways:
- Mega Evolve that Pokémon multiple times.
- Use a significant amount of Mega Energy to increase its Mega Level instantly.
