GO Wild Area 2026 Special Backgrounds
Every Pokémon that can have the new Special Background, from Into the Wild through GO Wild Area weekend, and backgrounds on your Trainer profile.

After a successful catch from raids or Max Battles, the Pokémon below have a chance to have the new GO Wild Area 2026 Special Background. Ticket holders also get one guaranteed: the Special Research ends with an encounter with Gigantamax Duraludon with a Special Background.
During Into the Wild Lead-upMonday, November 9 – Friday, November 13
Trainers who take part in five-star raids and five-star Max Battles during Into the Wild have a chance of a new Special Background after a successful catch, marking when the Pokémon was caught on the road to GO Wild Area.

Backgrounds on your Trainer profile
Your buddy Pokémon's eligible Location Background or Special Background can now appear on your Trainer profile, where friends can see it too. Background support rolls out on this schedule:
- November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time: GO Wild Area 2026 Location Backgrounds for Sendai and Mexico City.
- November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time: the GO Wild Area 2026 Special Background and all previously released Location Backgrounds.
Friends can see a supported background once its rollout reaches 10:00 a.m. in their own local time. More Special Backgrounds will be supported in the future.
